Serena has more muscle than fat; furthermore, she has even more muscle now than she did in 04-05 season. It is a possibility that she may be consuming too much protein, which can make you bulky. Dude, she most definitely don't need to lose 30-40lbs- maybe just 10lbs of fat. You seem to not realize that she only weighs 150lbs and she is 5"9! Her weight had nothing to do with her losing agst.
