Venus has defeated Serena 6-1,2-6,7-6(3) in Semifinal action at the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships. It appeared that Venus was going to run away with the match but Serena fought back in the 2nd set. Although Serena was obviously in pain from that ever-aching knee, she fought until the very end. There were a few questionable calls but that's water under the bridge. Serena was only serving at 38% in the first set. For the match she accumulated 7 aces and 7 double faults. (6 of the double faults were in the FIRST set). Congratulations Venus and good luck in the championship match.

Venus stops Serena in Dubai Semis
