STANFORD, Calif. – With a combined 18 Grand Slam singles titles between them, Serena and Venus Williams are two of the most popular tennis players in the world. At the Bank of the West Classic on Tuesday, July 28 tennis fans will have the opportunity to see both of these future Hall of Famers play on the same day.
Venus Williams, winner of seven Grand Slam singles titles and a two-time Bank of the West Classic champion, will take to the court for her opening round match during Tuesday’s day session marking her first match at Stanford since 2005. Serena Williams will highlight Tuesday’s evening session when she takes to the court in her first match since winning her 11th career Grand Slam singles title at this year’s Wimbledon Championships.
